What it is: A boat maintenance detail is a scheduled, professional fresh-water washdown and wipe-down of the entire vessel — hull, deck, glass, stainless, upholstery — that removes salt before it etches the finish. In South Florida, weekly or bi-weekly service is what separates boats that stay new from boats that need restoration every two years.

Scope: Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly programs for in-water, lift-kept, and dry-stacked boats — at your dock or at any marina on the route.

Salt never takes a week off. Our maintenance programs put your boat on a professional care schedule: fresh-water washdown, chamois dry, glass and stainless spot-free, non-skid scrubbed, upholstery checked, coating maintained. You step aboard; it's simply always ready. Several clients have been on Ivan's route for three seasons and counting.

Why recurring beats rescue

Every dollar of detailing you've invested — the correction, the coating, the brightwork — depreciates the moment salt sits on it. A disciplined washdown cadence is what separates boats that look new for a decade from boats that need restoration every two years.

Maintenance clients get the same detailer on a standing schedule, a consistent checklist, and small problems caught early: a rust bloom on a rail, a mildew spot in a seam, waterline scum starting to set. Handled before you'd ever notice.

Built around how you run her

Weekly for boats that fish every weekend and live in the water. Bi-weekly for lift-kept or lightly used boats. Monthly for dry-stacked or covered boats. Interior refreshes, teak care, and metal polishing layered in at the interval that suits the boat. Estate clients often add vehicle washes to the same visit — one team, one schedule, every asset covered.

Boat Washes & Maintenance FAQ

Good questions

How much is a boat wash?

$10 per linear foot for a fresh-water wash, $30 per foot for a wash and wax. A 34-foot center console is $340 or $1,020. Most recurring clients settle into a flat monthly number once we have seen the boat and the dock.

What does a boat washdown include?

Fresh-water wash of all exterior surfaces, chamois dry, glass and stainless wiped spot-free, non-skid scrubbed, and a quick condition check of upholstery and metals. Coated boats get coating-safe wash chemistry that extends protection life.

How often should a boat be washed in South Florida?

Boats used most weekends, kept in the water, or docked with heavy salt exposure do best weekly. Lightly used or lift-kept boats often hold beautifully at bi-weekly. We'll recommend a cadence after seeing the boat and how you run her.

Do you need me to be there?

No. Most maintenance clients aren't home when we work. We coordinate dock access, gate codes, and marina requirements once, then run the schedule.

Can one plan cover the boat and the cars?

Yes — that's exactly how many of our estate clients use us. One visit, one crew, one invoice: the boat washed down and the vehicles detailed in the same trip.
