Boat detailing on the Dania Cut-Off Canal
Zea Detailing provides mobile boat detailing in Dania Beach — washdowns, gelcoat correction, ceramic coating, and brightwork at Harbour Towne Marina, Royale Palm Yacht Basin, Seahaven Superyacht Marina, the yards at Playboy Marine and Derecktor Dania, and the Dania Beach Municipal Marina.

Dania Beach is the working waterfront of Broward County. The Dania Cut-Off Canal comes off the Intracoastal just south of Port Everglades, and its first mile holds the yards, bridge-free, about three miles from the Atlantic: Derecktor's 900-ton haul-out, Playboy Marine's do-it-yourself blocks, Royale Palm's family-run slips, Seahaven's superyacht dockage, and Harbour Towne's 650 dry racks. On the beach side, the city marina sits beside the state park a short walk from the Dania Beach Pier, with Whiskey Creek and the Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park mangroves running north to the inlet. Boats here get used, hauled, and used again.
Our work here follows the Cut and the beach basin: washdowns for the under-50-foot boats in the dry stacks at Harbour Towne and the slips at Royale Palm and the municipal marina, gelcoat correction and ceramic coating for boats coming off the blocks at Playboy or Derecktor, and brightwork, interior, and engine-room detailing for the larger vessels on the Cut, with vendor approval where the yard requires it. A yard is a hard place for a finish — sanding dust, bottom-paint overspray, diesel soot, and the salt haze off the inlet — so a boat leaving Dania Beach clean and coated is the whole point. We are licensed, bonded and insured.
What Dania Beach does to a finish
Yard dust and bottom-paint overspray
Boats on the Cut live next to active haul-outs. Sanding dust and antifouling overspray settle on gelcoat and glass; we decontaminate before it bonds, then coat so it rinses off next time.
Dry-stack forklift cycles
Racked boats at Harbour Towne come down salty and go back up wet. We wash on the ground after the pull and time visits to your launch schedule.
Port Everglades traffic and diesel soot
Diesel soot from port traffic settles on hulls and stainless along the Cut and the beach basin. Regular decontamination keeps it off dark gelcoat and metal before it stains.

Dania Beach FAQ
Local questions, local answers
Do you work inside the yards on the Dania Cut-Off Canal?
Yes. We service boats at Harbour Towne, Royale Palm, and Playboy Marine, and can work on the hard at Derecktor Dania and inside Seahaven with vendor approval, which we arrange through the yard office. We check in on arrival and stay clear of active lifts and work bays.
Can you detail a boat while it's on the blocks?
That is often the best time. With the boat hauled we can correct and coat the entire hull, including the boot stripe and below the waterline before bottom paint goes on. Give us the yard's window and we schedule around it.
Do you service dry-stacked boats at Harbour Towne?
Yes. Ask the office for a pull to the wash-down area and we work the boat on the ground — hull, outboards, T-top, and deck — then it goes back on the rack clean. We can set a standing cadence around how often you launch.
Do you handle the city marina and private docks in Melaleuca Gardens?
Yes. The Dania Beach Municipal Marina and private docks in Melaleuca Gardens and along the Dania Cut-Off Canal are all on the route. We bring water, power, and lighting; you arrange access.
Boat or garage in Dania Beach?
Two minutes to a real quote — condition, photos, location. We handle the rest.
