Inlet-ready detailing from Pompano's canals to Hillsboro Mile
Zea Detailing provides mobile boat detailing in Pompano Beach and Hillsboro Beach — washdowns, gelcoat correction, and ceramic coating at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center, Loggerhead Hidden Harbour, and private docks in Harbor Village and along Hillsboro Mile.

Hillsboro Inlet is the reason boats live in Pompano Beach. The charter fleet at Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center runs Sailfish Alley most mornings, Sands Harbor's fuel dock sits minutes from the sea buoy, and the canals of Harbor Village and Santa Barbara Shores put center consoles and sportfish on private docks with no fixed bridge between the lift and the ocean. Add the 331 dry-stack racks at Loggerhead Hidden Harbour and the 78 slips at Lighthouse Point Yacht Club just north, and you have a stretch of water where boats are used, not admired — and where salt from the last trip is always the first problem.
Across the inlet, Hillsboro Mile is a different assignment. Three miles of A1A estates with the Atlantic on one side and Intracoastal dockage on the other, the Hillsboro Club sitting beside the lighthouse on the inlet itself, and owners who expect a detailer to arrive prepared and leave quietly. We run both programs from the same rig: weekly washdowns and tower-to-transom details for the Pompano fishing fleet, staff-coordinated hull, brightwork, and interior programs for Hillsboro Mile yachts, and ceramic coating for the boats and the cars in their garages on either side of the bridge.
What Pompano Beach does to a finish
Inlet salt, run daily
Boats here run the inlet constantly. Salt crust after a Sailfish Alley morning starts pitting stainless and spotting glass if it sits — same-week washdowns are the baseline, not the upgrade.
Dual exposure on Hillsboro Mile
Ocean spray over the dune, Intracoastal haze at the dock. Estate yachts on the Mile take salt from both sides; dark hulls and brightwork need coating plus a disciplined cadence.
Dry-stack and lift-kept hulls
Hidden Harbour racks and canal lifts keep hulls dry — ideal for coating — but forklift rub marks and rack dust need attention generic washers skip. We coordinate pulls with the yard.

Pompano Beach FAQ
Local questions, local answers
Do you service boats at Sands Harbor and Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center?
Yes. We service boats at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center, and the dry stacks at Loggerhead Hidden Harbour. We carry the insurance certificates marinas require and coordinate access directly with the dockmaster or yard.
Can you work on the Hillsboro Club docks or at a Hillsboro Mile estate?
Private Intracoastal slips along Hillsboro Mile are staff- or captain-coordinated: quiet equipment, no signage, and a program set to the vessel rather than our calendar. The Hillsboro Club is a private club — access there is arranged through the member, their captain, or club staff, and we follow the club's vendor requirements.
Our boat is dry-stacked at Hidden Harbour — how does detailing work?
We coordinate a pull with the yard and work the boat on the ground. Dry-stacked hulls hold ceramic coatings especially well since they never sit in the water; we recommend coating once, then running a monthly maintenance detail from there.
How often should a Harbor Village canal boat be washed down?
Weekly for in-water boats, bi-weekly for lift-kept ones. Harbor Village and Santa Barbara Shores canals are protected water, but Pompano boats run the inlet often — the salt from the last trip sets the cadence, not the canal.
Boat or garage in Pompano Beach?
Two minutes to a real quote — condition, photos, location. We handle the rest.
