Interior & Brightwork in Pompano Beach
Cabin interiors, marine vinyl, teak, stainless and polished metals, engine rooms — and full automotive interiors — finished to the same standard as the hull.

Zea Detailing provides mobile interior & brightwork detailing in Pompano Beach & Hillsboro Beach — at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center, Loggerhead Marina – Hidden Harbour, and private docks in Harbor Village and Garden Isles — for boats and cars. Licensed, bonded and insured; based in West Palm Beach; Broward County.
What it is: Interior and brightwork detailing covers everything aboard that isn't the hull: upholstery and vinyl deep-cleaned and UV-conditioned, teak cleaned and brightened, stainless rails and hardware machine-polished to a mirror, and engine rooms degreased back to white. For cars, it means leather, carpets, and trim brought back to showroom condition.
Interior & Brightwork on Pompano Beach water and driveways
A center console comes back to Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center after a Sailfish Alley morning and the interior tells the story before the hull does: salt haze across the Garmin screens, brine dried into the SeaDek seams, chum worked into vinyl bolsters, and stainless rocket launchers already tea-staining at the welds. Across the inlet, in the Hillsboro Mile estates and the canal homes off Lake Santa Barbara, the problem inverts: a Viking or Hatteras sits closed up on the lift for weeks, and Intracoastal humidity settles into headliners, teak, and every hinge in the engine room.
We work interiors early, before the cabin heats up and before conditioner flashes off on hot vinyl. On the Mile and at Hillsboro Club we confirm gate access and the dock name ahead; at Loggerhead Marina – Hidden Harbour we set the pull with the yard so the boat is down and dry before we open a locker. Vinyl gets a pH-controlled clean and a UV conditioner that cures matte, not slick. Teak is cleaned with the grain, never scrubbed across it. Stainless is machine-polished, then sealed so inlet salt has less to bite. Engine room and bilge go last, so nothing tracks back up.
What Pompano Beach does to a finish
Inlet salt, run daily
Boats here run the inlet constantly. Salt crust after a Sailfish Alley morning starts pitting stainless and spotting glass if it sits — same-week washdowns are the baseline, not the upgrade.
Dual exposure on Hillsboro Mile
Ocean spray over the dune, Intracoastal haze at the dock. Estate yachts on the Mile take salt from both sides; dark hulls and brightwork need coating plus a disciplined cadence.
Dry-stack and lift-kept hulls
Hidden Harbour racks and canal lifts keep hulls dry — ideal for coating — but forklift rub marks and rack dust need attention generic washers skip. We coordinate pulls with the yard.

Interior & Brightwork in Pompano Beach — FAQ
Good questions
Do you detail engine rooms?
Yes — engine room and bilge detailing is one of our signature services. A clean, white engine room isn't vanity: it makes leaks visible early, survey days easier, and resale conversations shorter.
Can you remove mildew from marine vinyl?
In most cases, yes — and more importantly we treat and condition the vinyl afterward so it resists coming back. Long-neglected stitching can be permanently stained; we'll tell you honestly what will and won't come out.
Do you service boats at Sands Harbor and Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center?
Yes. We service boats at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, Hillsboro Inlet Fishing Center, and the dry stacks at Loggerhead Hidden Harbour. We carry the insurance certificates marinas require and coordinate access directly with the dockmaster or yard.
Can you work on the Hillsboro Club docks or at a Hillsboro Mile estate?
Private Intracoastal slips along Hillsboro Mile are staff- or captain-coordinated: quiet equipment, no signage, and a program set to the vessel rather than our calendar. The Hillsboro Club is a private club — access there is arranged through the member, their captain, or club staff, and we follow the club's vendor requirements.
Can you detail the interior while my boat is on the rack at Loggerhead Marina – Hidden Harbour?
Yes, but we schedule the splash or the pull with the yard first. Interior work on a racked boat means a ladder and no water access, so we bring our own. Most Hidden Harbour jobs go smoother with the boat down in a wet slip for an hour or two.
My rails look rusty after a season running Hillsboro Inlet — is the stainless ruined?
Usually not. What looks like rust on Sailfish Alley boats is surface tea-staining from chloride sitting in the grain. We machine-polish it out, passivate, and seal. Deep pitting at welds is different and may need refinishing, so we assess each rail before quoting the brightwork.
