Boat Washes & Maintenance in Highland Beach

Fresh-water washdowns, chamois dry, metals wiped, and interior refresh on a standing schedule — the program that keeps a boat looking new for a decade.

Motor yacht hull polished to a deep shine at a private Intracoastal slip

Zea Detailing provides mobile boat washes & maintenance detailing in Highland Beach & Gulf Stream — at Seawood Marina, and private docks in Ocean Blvd estates and Place Au Soleil — for boats from 20 to 100+ feet. Licensed, bonded and insured; based in West Palm Beach; Palm Beach County.

What it is: A boat maintenance detail is a scheduled, professional fresh-water washdown and wipe-down of the entire vessel — hull, deck, glass, stainless, upholstery — that removes salt before it etches the finish. In South Florida, weekly or bi-weekly service is what separates boats that stay new from boats that need restoration every two years.

Boat Washes & Maintenance on Highland Beach water and driveways

A private deep-water slip behind an Ocean Blvd estate sits close enough to the Intracoastal channel that every passing wake throws spray up the transom and across the boot stripe, and with the Atlantic one road east on A1A, salt haze settles on glass, stainless and brightwork overnight. Boats kept off the canals in Place Au Soleil take the same load from both directions. Nothing here is neglect — the surface simply reloads daily. Left a month, that film etches gelcoat and spots the metals; caught weekly, it wipes off with soap and a chamois.

We hold gate codes and dock access on file and run this stretch early on a fixed day, so nobody on your staff has to meet us. Same detailer every visit, unmarked truck, no signage. At Seawood Marina we clear our dock time ahead of the visit; on private slips we work off dock water, pH-neutral soap on ceramic-coated hulls so nothing strips, then chamois glass, stainless and brightwork dry. Non-skid and SeaDek get scrubbed, interiors wiped. You get a short note with anything we flag — chalking on a rubrail, a weeping fitting, upholstery seams opening — before it becomes restoration work.

What Highland Beach does to a finish

Channel wake & spray exposure

Slips just off the ICW channel get constant wake splash — waterline and transom need more frequent attention than protected dockage.

Ocean-side salt haze

Direct ocean proximity means salt film on every surface, every day — including brightwork and glass. Our washdown standard is chamois-dry, spot-free, metals wiped.

Privacy-first service

Same detailer every visit, staff-coordinated scheduling, and no signage. Many of our clients here we've never met in person — by design.

Boat Washes & Maintenance in Highland Beach — FAQ

Good questions

How much is a boat wash?

$10 per linear foot for a fresh-water wash, $30 per foot for a wash and wax. A 34-foot center console is $340 or $1,020. Most recurring clients settle into a flat monthly number once we have seen the boat and the dock.

What does a boat washdown include?

Fresh-water wash of all exterior surfaces, chamois dry, glass and stainless wiped spot-free, non-skid scrubbed, and a quick condition check of upholstery and metals. Coated boats get coating-safe wash chemistry that extends protection life.

Can you coordinate entirely through our house manager or captain?

Yes — much of our Highland Beach and Gulf Stream work is arranged through household staff or captains. We handle scheduling, access, and reporting without needing the owner involved.

Our slip is right off the channel — does that change the program?

It changes the cadence. Channel-side slips take continuous wake spray, so waterlines and transoms foul faster. We typically recommend weekly washdowns with quarterly deep details for boats on the main channel.

Our slip sits right off the ICW channel. Does that change the wash schedule?

Yes. Waterline, transom and boot stripe take constant wake splash off the channel, so we work those areas on every visit and usually recommend weekly here rather than bi-weekly. Protected canal dockage in Place Au Soleil can often stretch further between washdowns.

Can you wash the cars in the garage on the same visit?

Yes, it's a common add-on for Ocean Blvd estates. After the boat we move to the garage and hand-wash what's parked there, Range Rover or G-Wagon, to the same chamois-dry, spot-free standard. One visit, one detailer, one schedule for the property.
