Interior & Brightwork in Highland Beach

Cabin interiors, marine vinyl, teak, stainless and polished metals, engine rooms — and full automotive interiors — finished to the same standard as the hull.

Motor yacht hull polished to a deep shine at a private Intracoastal slip

Zea Detailing provides mobile interior & brightwork detailing in Highland Beach & Gulf Stream — at Seawood Marina, and private docks in Ocean Blvd estates and Place Au Soleil — for boats and cars. Licensed, bonded and insured; based in West Palm Beach; Palm Beach County.

What it is: Interior and brightwork detailing covers everything aboard that isn't the hull: upholstery and vinyl deep-cleaned and UV-conditioned, teak cleaned and brightened, stainless rails and hardware machine-polished to a mirror, and engine rooms degreased back to white. For cars, it means leather, carpets, and trim brought back to showroom condition.

Interior & Brightwork on Highland Beach water and driveways

Most of the work here sits on private deep-water slips behind the Ocean Blvd estates — a Viking or Hatteras bow-in, often a Boston Whaler on the lift alongside — a short run off the Intracoastal channel. Wake throws spray across transoms and into the cockpit most of the day, and the ocean side of A1A keeps a salt haze on every surface. Inside, that shows up as salt drying into the stitching of cockpit vinyl, cloudy stainless on rails and hardtop frames, and teak greying from the top down. The Place Au Soleil canal boats stay cleaner, but humidity trapped under closed canvas is its own problem.

We schedule through whoever runs the house — staff, captain, or gate — and send the same detailer every visit, so nobody is meeting a stranger at the dock. Interiors get worked in stages: vinyl and upholstery deep-cleaned and neutralized before UV conditioner goes on, teak cleaned and brightened wet then rinsed clear of the seawall, stainless machine-polished rather than wiped, engine room degreased back to white last. At Seawood Marina we clear cart and power access first. Expect a quiet truck, no signage, and the boat closed up before we leave. Ocean-side slips hold a tighter cadence than protected dockage; the salt film is back the next morning.

What Highland Beach does to a finish

Channel wake & spray exposure

Slips just off the ICW channel get constant wake splash — waterline and transom need more frequent attention than protected dockage.

Ocean-side salt haze

Direct ocean proximity means salt film on every surface, every day — including brightwork and glass. Our washdown standard is chamois-dry, spot-free, metals wiped.

Privacy-first service

Same detailer every visit, staff-coordinated scheduling, and no signage. Many of our clients here we've never met in person — by design.

Interior & Brightwork in Highland Beach — FAQ

Good questions

Do you detail engine rooms?

Yes — engine room and bilge detailing is one of our signature services. A clean, white engine room isn't vanity: it makes leaks visible early, survey days easier, and resale conversations shorter.

Can you remove mildew from marine vinyl?

In most cases, yes — and more importantly we treat and condition the vinyl afterward so it resists coming back. Long-neglected stitching can be permanently stained; we'll tell you honestly what will and won't come out.

Can you coordinate entirely through our house manager or captain?

Yes — much of our Highland Beach and Gulf Stream work is arranged through household staff or captains. We handle scheduling, access, and reporting without needing the owner involved.

Our slip is right off the channel — does that change the program?

It changes the cadence. Channel-side slips take continuous wake spray, so waterlines and transoms foul faster. We typically recommend weekly washdowns with quarterly deep details for boats on the main channel.

Can you work the boat if nobody is home?

Yes. Most Highland Beach and Gulf Stream visits run through house staff or a captain — we take dock access, alarm, and salon-key instructions once, send the same detailer every time, and close the boat back up. No signage on the truck, no crew rotating through the property.

Can you do the cars in the garage on the same visit as the boat?

Yes, and on Ocean Blvd it is usually the efficient way to run it. We finish the interior and brightwork at the slip, then move up to the garage for the Range Rover or G-Wagon leather and carpets. One arrival, one gate code, one detailer on site.
