Ceramic Coating in Jupiter
Professional-grade ceramic systems for gelcoat, marine paint, and automotive finishes — protection measured in years, not weeks.

Zea Detailing provides mobile ceramic coating in Jupiter, Tequesta & Jupiter Inlet Colony — at Admirals Cove Marina & Yacht Club, Jupiter Inlet Marina at U-Tiki Beach, Jupiter Yacht Club Marina, and private docks in Admirals Cove and Jonathan's Landing — for boats and cars. Licensed, bonded and insured; based in West Palm Beach; Palm Beach County.
What it is: Ceramic coating is a professionally applied, chemically bonded layer of silica that cures into a hard, hydrophobic shell over gelcoat or automotive paint. On South Florida boats and cars it replaces wax, resists UV chalking and salt, makes washdowns faster, and lasts years instead of weeks.
Ceramic Coating on Jupiter water and driveways
A quad-outboard Invincible that ran the canyons out of Jupiter Inlet comes back to its slip at Admirals Cove Marina wearing a salt crust on every surface, then sits in the tea-colored Loxahatchee River until the next trip. Salt left on bare gelcoat and stainless etches; river water paints a waterline into oxidized gelcoat within a season. A properly prepped ceramic coating changes the surface itself: after full decontamination and a machine polish, the silica bonds hard, so salt rinses off instead of biting in and the mustache sits on the coating rather than in the gelcoat. Washdowns get shorter, and the acid stays in the truck.
The job runs around the gate and the weather. At Admirals Cove Marina & Yacht Club, Jupiter Yacht Club Marina, and Loggerhead Marina – Jupiter we clear access with the dockmaster and bring our own water and power; in Jonathan's Landing, Pennock Point, and Jupiter Inlet Colony we work off the seawall. Prep is the long part: decontamination, then machine polishing until the gelcoat reads clean under light, powder-coated tower and outboard cowlings included. We book the install after a run, not before one, so the coating cures in the slip before it sees salt, and you leave with a written washdown cadence matched to how often you fish.
What Jupiter does to a finish
Offshore salt, run hard
Jupiter boats actually fish. Salt crust after every canyon run needs a same-week washdown before it etches metals and glass — that's the cadence we build here.
Brown river water
The Loxahatchee's tannin-stained water paints waterlines fast. Our maintenance program keeps the mustache off without acid-washing your gelcoat thin.
Tower, tuna door & outboard care
Powder-coated towers, quad outboard cowlings, and stainless work need product knowledge generic detailers don't carry. This is our bread and butter.

How ceramic coating gets done right
- 01
Wash & full decontamination
Iron remover, chemical decon, and clay treatment strip everything bonded to the surface.
- 02
Machine correction
Single or multi-stage polishing removes oxidation, swirls, and haze — verified under inspection light.
- 03
Panel wipe & inspection
Residue-free wipe-down so the coating bonds to a bare, perfect finish.
- 04
Coating installation
Applied panel by panel in controlled sections, leveled, and checked for high spots.
- 05
Cure & handoff
Cure guidance, first-wash timing, and a maintenance plan to protect the investment.
Ceramic Coating in Jupiter — FAQ
Good questions
How long does a ceramic coating last on a boat in Florida?
With correct prep and sensible maintenance, marine ceramic systems deliver two to five years of protection — even on hulls that live in the water. Regular fresh-water washdowns extend coating life significantly, which is why most of our coating clients pair it with a maintenance plan.
Is ceramic coating worth it over wax?
In South Florida, yes. Carnauba wax survives weeks in our UV and salt. A professional ceramic coating is a hard, chemically bonded layer that survives years, sheds salt and waterline scum, and keeps gloss you can measure.
Do you work inside Admirals Cove?
Yes — Admirals Cove, Jonathan's Landing, and Jupiter Inlet Colony are core service areas. We handle club and community vendor requirements ourselves, and we service both private docks and the marina.
Can you keep up with a boat that fishes every weekend?
That's the Jupiter program: standing washdowns timed to your fishing schedule, so salt never sits more than a day or two. Coated boats rinse clean in half the time — most of our serious fishing clients coat for exactly that reason.
Will a ceramic coating stop the brown Loxahatchee River waterline on my hull?
It won't stop the tannins from touching the hull, but the stain sits on the coating instead of soaking into porous gelcoat, so it wipes off with a neutral cleaner on the regular washdown. Boats kept in the river at Jonathan's Landing or Tequesta docks are the ones that benefit most.
Can you coat the tower and outboard cowlings on an offshore boat, or just the hull?
Both. Powder-coated towers, outboard cowlings, and stainless rails each get a coating suited to that surface after their own prep. On the quad-outboard boats running Jupiter Inlet, cowlings and metals take the worst of the salt, so we scope them in from the start rather than treating them as an afterthought.
