Interior & Brightwork in Jupiter

Cabin interiors, marine vinyl, teak, stainless and polished metals, engine rooms — and full automotive interiors — finished to the same standard as the hull.

Quad outboards on a serious offshore center console in Jupiter

Zea Detailing provides mobile interior & brightwork detailing in Jupiter, Tequesta & Jupiter Inlet Colony — at Admirals Cove Marina & Yacht Club, Jupiter Inlet Marina at U-Tiki Beach, Jupiter Yacht Club Marina, and private docks in Admirals Cove and Jonathan's Landing — for boats and cars. Licensed, bonded and insured; based in West Palm Beach; Palm Beach County.

What it is: Interior and brightwork detailing covers everything aboard that isn't the hull: upholstery and vinyl deep-cleaned and UV-conditioned, teak cleaned and brightened, stainless rails and hardware machine-polished to a mirror, and engine rooms degreased back to white. For cars, it means leather, carpets, and trim brought back to showroom condition.

Interior & Brightwork on Jupiter water and driveways

A center console comes off the Jupiter Inlet after a Gulf Stream day and everything inside carries it: salt dried on the powder-coated tower legs, blood and chum worked into the SeaDek seams, tannin from the Loxahatchee River tracked up the gunwale onto white vinyl. On a canal slip in Admirals Cove or Pennock Point, that residue bakes under afternoon sun before anyone opens the cabin. We clean the vinyl with a pH-balanced marine cleaner, not a degreaser that strips plasticizers, then UV-condition it, and we hand-detail the tuna door and stainless rails so salt has nothing to pit.

Admirals Cove and Jonathan's Landing run gated entry, so we send vehicle and crew details ahead and clear dock access with the harbormaster before we load in. At Jupiter Yacht Club Marina, The Bluffs Marina or Loggerhead Marina, we work around the morning run-out and start once the boat is back and rinsed. Teak gets cleaned with a two-part and brightened, never sanded on a schedule that thins it. Engine rooms and bilges we degrease last, so nothing tracks forward. Expect drying time on upholstery before you close her up, and a standing cadence rather than a rescue job every spring.

What Jupiter does to a finish

Offshore salt, run hard

Jupiter boats actually fish. Salt crust after every canyon run needs a same-week washdown before it etches metals and glass — that's the cadence we build here.

Brown river water

The Loxahatchee's tannin-stained water paints waterlines fast. Our maintenance program keeps the mustache off without acid-washing your gelcoat thin.

Tower, tuna door & outboard care

Powder-coated towers, quad outboard cowlings, and stainless work need product knowledge generic detailers don't carry. This is our bread and butter.

Interior & Brightwork in Jupiter — FAQ

Good questions

Do you detail engine rooms?

Yes — engine room and bilge detailing is one of our signature services. A clean, white engine room isn't vanity: it makes leaks visible early, survey days easier, and resale conversations shorter.

Can you remove mildew from marine vinyl?

In most cases, yes — and more importantly we treat and condition the vinyl afterward so it resists coming back. Long-neglected stitching can be permanently stained; we'll tell you honestly what will and won't come out.

Do you work inside Admirals Cove?

Yes — Admirals Cove, Jonathan's Landing, and Jupiter Inlet Colony are core service areas. We handle club and community vendor requirements ourselves, and we service both private docks and the marina.

Can you keep up with a boat that fishes every weekend?

That's the Jupiter program: standing washdowns timed to your fishing schedule, so salt never sits more than a day or two. Coated boats rinse clean in half the time — most of our serious fishing clients coat for exactly that reason.

Can you work inside a gated community like Admirals Cove or Jupiter Inlet Colony?

Yes. We're licensed, bonded and insured, and we send plate, vehicle and detailer names to the gate or dock office ahead of the visit. In Jupiter Inlet Colony we follow the town's vehicle rules and park where you direct, whether we're aboard at the dock or in the garage.

Our boat sits on a Loxahatchee River canal dock and the cockpit vinyl has brown staining. Can that come out?

Usually. Tannin staining from the river sits in the vinyl's grain, so we lift it with a dedicated stain remover and agitation rather than bleach, which hardens the coating and splits the seams. Heavily shaded docks in Pennock Point also grow mildew under cushions, so we pull and treat both sides.
